What is the message? How is it conveyed? By what means? You have to answer all these questions if you want your music to resonate today.""Developing your project takes time. The fantasy that your music will be put online and generate millions of streams on its own has to be put to rest. You have to multiply the exposure of your music and develop your community: content, concerts, marketing, featurings, community exchange, creative operations, etc. With or without a budget, you need a lot of willpower and perseverance." <h3>"Artists need to be aware that music alone is no longer enough" </h3>"Musical branding is neither subsequent nor exogenous to the development of an artistic project. On the contrary, it precedes and is endogenous. A musical project without branding will find it hard to emerge from the shadows and the heap of tracks released every day on streaming platforms."<h2>The different types of collaboration between an artist and a brand</h2><ul><li>Product placement : Product placement in a video clip or at a release party, where a brand is associated with an artist's project in return for a financial contribution.</li><li>Private concerts : These are non-ticketed concerts where the artist is paid by the brand to perform at an event organised by the brand itself.</li><li>Brand content : These are the most common operations, where a brand calls on an artist to create content around a product.</li><li>Collaborative collections : This is when a brand teams up with an artist to create a collection or a product. These operations often take the form of merchandising and the artists can earn royalties on sales.</li><li>Endorsement : the brand decides to invest in an artist over a longer period (usually a year) to promote its products and message. In these endorsement deals, the artist can multiply the number of operations with the brand: in-store displays, private concerts, brand content, etc.</li></ul><h2>The rules for a successful collaboration with a brand</h2><ul><li>Correspondence between the brand's target clientele and the artist's fanbase</li><li>Shared values between the brand and the artist</li><li>Involvement and loyalty of the artist's community</li></ul><h2>His predictions on future upheavals in the music industry</h2>The music industry is in a state of flux. For example, a few months ago we carried out a study for the CNM, which is already out of date. It would be hard to predict the market over the next five years.However, we can see that the streaming model, which accounts for around 70% of the industry, is in the throes of change (the proliferation of artist-centric agreements, for example) and is subject to ongoing regulation (on its rates, for example). These changes will have a major impact on the industry.We are also seeing A.I. develop at breakneck speed, and we are in the midst of a post-industrial revolution: we need to prepare ourselves to see operational tasks gradually disappear, now that repetitive tasks have all but disappeared.

Quel est le propos ? Comment est-il transmis ? Par quels moyens ? Il faut répondre à toutes ces questions pour que sa musique résonne aujourd’hui.""Développer son projet prend du temps. Le fantasme d’une musique mise en ligne et qui génère seule des millions de streams doit être annihilé. Il faut multiplier les expositions de sa musique et développer sa communauté : contenus, concerts, marketing, featurings, échange de communautés, opérations créatives, etc… Avec ou sans budget, il faut beaucoup de volonté et de persévérance."<h3>“Les artistes doivent être conscients que la musique ne suffit plus”</h3> "Le branding musical n’est ni postérieur ni exogène au développement d’un projet artistique. Au contraire, il est antérieur et endogène. Nous avons par exemple fait une <a target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer" href="https://cnmlab.fr/onde-courte/linvestissement-dans-des-catalogues-musicaux-francais-et-etrangers/">étude</a> il y a quelques mois pour le CNM qui est déjà caduque. Bien malin est celui qui pourra anticiper le marché des cinq prochaines années.Cependant, on voit que le modèle du streaming qui pèse autour de 70% de l’industrie est en pleine mutation (multiplication des accords artists-centric par exemple) et subit des régulations permanentes (sur ses taux par exemple). Ces changements vont avoir un impact majeur sur l’industrie.On voit aussi que l’I.A. se développe à une vitesse folle, nous sommes en pleine révolution post-industrielle : il faut se préparer à voir disparaitre peu à peu les tâches opérationnelles, maintenant que celles qui sont répétitives ont presque disparu.

De JMK$ à Khali, en passant par Tedax Max, on s’est plongé tête la première dans la scène rap fr pour tenter de distinguer ce qu’on pourrait appeler la nouvelle vague. Après avoir référencé les artistes qu’on apprécie (même si on aurait aimé en mettre plus), on s’est permis un petit focus sur la DMV et la plug music, qui gagnent de plus en plus d'exposition. Enfin, on vous lâchera quelques sources intéressantes pour voir ce qui se passe dans la nouvelle vague du rap fr. Si le rap est le style de musique N°1 (presque) partout dans le monde, c’est grâce à sa très grande variété stylistique : il y en a pour tout le monde. Une telle émulation autour d’un genre ne peut qu’être bénéfique pour le genre en lui-même, mais ça engendre aussi un aspect négatif, celui de la copie, ou de la recette musicale usée à l’infini. Quand une certaine sonorité obtient un succès, elle est déclinée encore et encore jusqu’au dégoût. C’est normal, comme le dit l’adage, c’est la rançon de la gloire. Autre aspect de cette grande exposition, c’est qu’il y a du monde sur le coup, beaucoup de monde. Faire du rap aujourd’hui, c’est hyper attractif, alors forcément, beaucoup s’y essayent. Et plus il y a de monde à essayer, moins c’est facile de tirer son épingle du jeu. Aujourd’hui un artiste qui perce, c’est un artiste qui apporte quelque chose à la musique, une nouvelle proposition artistique. Et il en fallu pas plus pour rejoindre les rangs serrés de la toute nouvelle fan base que le rappeur se développe. Il apporte un grand soin à son écriture, et c’est ce qui nous a le plus plu chez lui. Loin des facilités d’une musique populaire où les textes se doivent d’être simples et accessibles, il cisèle tel un orfèvre, prenez par exemple : “La vie n’est qu’un court-métrage, on prend d’l’âge, du kilométrage. On pense qu’argent, véhicule allemand, tout l'monde se prend pour ce qu'il n’est pas”. Et ce n’est pas tout, car en 2020, il sort aussi “MAXAVELI” ou encore “La Drillotière”. Des balles qu’on poncera indéfiniment, jusqu’à ce jour béni du 1er Janvier 2021, où apparut sur les plateformes de streaming, le projet “Forme Olympique”. S'ensuivit “Forme Olympique : middle season” un autre milestone important pour le rappeur, avant de créer la surprise et de débarquer dans les studios de Colors pour un freestyle furieusement efficace. Bref, le rappeur se forge déjà une belle réputation en réalisant un sans faute très prometteur pour la suite. Il arrive avec un chant nasillard, qui bouscule l’auditeur, l’interpelle à coup sûr. L’artiste avait tweeté il y a quelque temps : “Game changer ou j'arrête" avant de sortir son projet “LAÏLA”. Si ce tweet était une sorte d’ultimatum posé à lui-même pour passer un cap, on doit dire que c’est réussi. Car “LAÏLA” justement, devrait faire office de marqueur en 2021. Ce qu’il apporte en termes de sonorités et d’univers, est incomparable. Chez Khali, on retient surtout la superbe mélancolie qui se dégage de ses mélodies, une mélancolie qui fait du bien, cathartique, essentielle à notre époque. Le moindre freestyle, le moindre interview, le moindre snippet pour tenter de rassasier une faim insatiable. Depuis ce jour de juillet 2020, où le rappeur débarque tout sourire sur Bad Luv de 99 avec DMS, rien n’est plus pareil. Depuis ce jour où le désormais fameux “J’m’en fou de la fashion week, l’outfit est fantastique” résonne pour la première fois sur nos enceintes, rien n’est plus pareil. Chanceko c’est le roi de la mélo qui prend aux tripes, celle qui reste dans le crâne, qui te hante. En tout cas, encore un artiste prolifique, qui ne nous laisse jamais longtemps sans nouvelle. Que ça soit avec des freestyles filmés à la volée ou des bangers comme Gova, le rappeur est bien présent en 2021. Quel plaisir à l’époque, d’entendre cette voix chantée si particulière, légèrement tremblante, qu’on apprendra à surkiffer. Au-delà de sa musique, c’est aussi l’univers qui le développe autour qui impressionne, lui donnant une aura toute particulière dans cette scène. Une position forte, qui le portera toujours plus loin. L’artiste est au charbon, ça se sent, et travaille à consolider sa fan base en étant ultra prolifique. Et en jouant sur tous les tableaux, il développe une aisance, une facilité à s’adapter à tous types de terrains musicaux. Son flow lancinant, parfois chanté, parfois kické, marque les esprits. Son univers est déjà bien affiné, et il fera oublier rapidement qu’il est “le fils de”. Avec les artistes qui suivent, on atteint le sommet du clivage sur les réseaux. Très récemment, c’est les YouTubers Amin &amp; Hugo qui se sont emparés du phénomène pour le dézinguer à proprement parler. Et l’artiste qui a déclenché ce torrent de haine, c’est Serane. Avec Money Dance par exemple, il arrive complètement off beat sur une prod langoureuse. Certains crient au génie, d’autres parlent de daube inconsidérable. Ce qui est sûr, c’est que Serane fait couler beaucoup d’encre. Rappelons-nous des torrents de haine que Koba La D s’est pris lors de son arrivée dans le game. Ces torrents qui lui ont probablement été utiles à un certain point. Peut-être que ça sera pareil pour Serane ? Une mauvaise pub reste une pub.
